The Physical Therapy Administrator helps coordinate the front desk operation of the Physical Therapy office. This person is responsible for office administration, answering PT/Pod phones, checking in PT/Pod patients/clients upon arrival, informing health care provider of patients’ arrival at clinic, scheduling PT/Pod appointments, organizing schedule and informing health care provider of changes in schedule. PT Administrator will call patients for available appointment times, reminders for upcoming appointments, follow up on missed appointments and check voice mail each morning. This position will also file charts and correspondence on a daily basis, send faxes and mail, operate billing system, coordinate referrals from physicians and insurance companies, and check with insurance companies for available benefits for patients. Qualified candidates must have operational knowledge of multi-line phone systems, and be proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet, as well as other scheduling software (may be trained on site). Ideal candidates must possess customer service experience and have ability to maintain client confidentiality and ability to communicate effectively. This position requires normal activity of sitting, standing, and walking & may require lifting office equipment and supplies on occasion.
