8. Prescription processing to include answering telephones. Take refill request form patient and their agents. Take refill responses from prescriber’s agent. Receive information required for third party billing. The Technician will refer to the Pharmacist for all-new prescriptions and questions from providers and patients regarding health care, and prescription “copies” and any changes in prescription by the provider.
9. Prescription processing to include: Accept new written prescriptions from patients, obtain adequate patient information for profiles and third party billing, accept refill requests, take stock bottle form shelf, counting pouring, affixing labels to containers and returning stock bottles to shelf.
10. Operate computer, enter information from prescription, print labels, extract information and process refills.
11. Perform necessary insurance billing and functions, contact prescriber regarding any questions.
12. Prescription record keeping to include: Filing prescriptions, forms, profiles, third party forms and billing information.
13. Inventory control. The Technician may order, receive, price and put away orders. Check stocks for out of dates and assist in stock maintenance and storage.
