PHARMACY TECH
This position is responsible for supporting the practice of pharmacy, to perform delegated tasks, and to perform drug distribution, compounding, record keeping, and clerical activities under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. A minimum of six months of hospital pharmacy experience is preferred. Able to communicate effectively and work well with others in a professional manner. Ability to accurately compound IV admixtures, HA solutions and manufactured items. Ability to complete diverse tasks accurately and efficiently. Ability to work independently. Ambulatory Seattle WA Per diem/on call as needed Various locations as needed Variable days, hours/shifts as needed Minimum: $14.90 + DOE + per diem differential This position provides technical support under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist which includes: prescription processing/filling; answering telephones; providing customer service; handling cash transactions; managing inventory of pharmaceutical products; compounding and preparing medication and IV admixtures; triaging orders; managing the technical duties in the pharmacy to allow the pharmacist to pursue the clinical areas of pharmacy practice and ensure that optimal pharmaceutical care is provided to the patients. This position requires a minimum one year related work experience; strong communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to effectively solve problems; the ability to use a computer; a working knowledge of cash registers; an understanding of electronic billing of third-party insurance providers; a working knowledge of hazardous waste handling; the ability to attend to detail; and strong organizational skills. Licensure requirements for this position include a Washington State Pharmacy Assistant Level "A" license and IV certification.
