We are currently seeking a Lab Administrative Assistant. Reporting to the Lab Director you will be responsible to perform administrative support to the embryology, andrology and endocrine laboratories General responsibilities include (not all inclusive): • Provides customer service to patients receiving andrology and IVF services. Greet and check in patients. • Act as main contact for the laboratories, taking incoming calls and triaging as necessary. Follow up as appropriate. • Schedule procedures based off of daily rounds meetings. • Maintain and organize patient cycle sheets and other lab data. • Obtain proper documentation from patients and scan andrology consent forms. • Audit embryology data. • Coordinate off-site embryo storage; coordinate PGD cases. • Order lab supplies. An ideal candidate will have 1-2 years experience in a research and/or hospital setting. Medical assistant or bachelor degree in medical technology, biology, chemistry or other related field preferred but not necessary. We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package. Phlebotomist
Our Laboratory Medicine department has outstanding opportunities for temporary/hourly phlebotomists. Individuals in this position will perform phlebotomy on patients of all ages, prepare patient and collection equipment according to established procedures for blood collection, verify patient identity before performing collection and instruct patients on proper collection of urine specimens. The individual will also perform laboratory-testing procedures such as prothrombin time, and whole blood glucose testing. Competitive candidates will interact professionally with patients, their families, departmental and hospital staff. Participating in problem solving, demonstrating support for policies, sharing expertise, and contributing to project work and committees is critical to being a successful member of the team. Clear communication with the team and participating in an environment of teamwork is a necessary part of the work we do.
