Position – Lab Assistant/ Phlebotomist
This job is responsible for collecting appropriate samples for testing, to include (Phlebotomy procedures, venous and capillary punctures, urine collections for medical and legal testing procedures). Work also includes maintaining patient demographic and insurance information in accordance with compliance guidelines and preparing samples for testing or dispatch. Work is conducted in accordance with all regulatory accreditation agency requirements.

Position – Lab Assistant/ Phlebotomist
Laboratory, On-Call, Variable. Responsible for obtaining blood samples from inpatients and outpatients, transports samples and other potentially biohazardous specimens to the laboratory, and processes specimens. Answers the telephone, perform computer functions and processes/files reports. Requirements include meeting qualifications for Certification as Health Care Assistant by the State of Washington (high school graduate or GED, additional education in anatomy/physiology, completion of 7-hour AIDs education class, and excellent phlebotomy skills). Knowledge of medical terminology, a Washington driver’s license, and good eyesight and normal color perception also required.

REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent required, some college science helpful. Excellent communication skills necessary to deal effectively with co-workers, clients, and hospital staff as well as patients possessing varying degrees of comprehension. Ability to deal effectively with all levels of laboratory staff and to communicate clearly and concisely over the telephone. Able to perform basic math functions. Previous lab experience either in student or clinical environment preferred. A willingness to work in fast paced, high volume laboratory. Data entry skills may be necessary.

We are looking for a part-time Lab Assistant to join our busy laboratory. Job duties include phlebotomy, set-up of microbiology cultures and set-up of gram stains. Qualified candidates will have completed an accredited training program for phlebotomy, and have one + years of experience. Must have a valid Washington State Driver’s License and a good driving record. This is a part-time, 48 hours per pay period days, every other weekend position. Position – Lab Assistant/ Phlebotomist
Responsible for responsibilities of the Specimen Technician I, including, but not limited too, presort, pickup and delivery of processed specimens to the laboratory, data entry, centrifugation and aliquotting.
