Medical Biller/Hospital Associate This position provides secretarial and administrative skills and knowledge to the practice. Collects and enters data into Database. Responsiblities:1. Provides secretarial support including typing, composing, and proofreading, and transcribing correspondence and medical reports. 2. Answers telephone, screens calls, refers callers/visitors to appropriate individuals. 3. Processes incoming and outgoing mail. Opens, sorts and prioritizes correspondence. 4. Separate payments, prepares bank deposit. 5. Maintains appointment calender for office for meetings and gives reminders to participants in advance of meetings.6. Maintains general files and equipment. Orders office supplies.. 7. Prepares payable vouchers for Office Manager approval. 8. Prepares and distributes provider call schedule provided by Physician scheduler. 9. Collects dictation and paperwork from offices and maintains status/paperwork in folders. 10. Assists with Patient Insurance verification and registration entry . 11. Maintains an accurate log of patients and enters them in the data base. 12. Collects and sends Monday Progress Notes to the appropriate contact. 13. Assists other staff as requested. 14. Participates in educational activities and programs.15. Knowledge of office management practices. 3. Review and edit reports and correspondence. 4. Knowledge of basic arithmetic to make calculations, balance and reconcile figures, and make changes accurately.5. Proficient in Microscoft Office computer applications. 6. Ability to work independently. 7. Knowledge of computer data entry and data communications. 8. Ability to organize and reconcile data including ability to ensure integrity of information.
