Perform certain routine and repetitive functions, and engage in preparation and packaging of medications and other pharmacy-related functions under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist. Prepare all IV admixtures using proper aseptic technique in a correct, efficient, and timely manner. Perform IV room computer functions including order entry, label printing, time changes, and IV charging, crediting, and discontinuing. Maintain the IV admixture room in a neat, orderly, and clean fashion at all times. Maintains inventory control of pharmaceuticals. Assist in training and orientation of pharmacy assistants, interns and pharmacists. Maintain patient confidentiality. Perform other duties as assigned.
